To the residents of Sharon Hill Borough:

We would like to address your concerns regarding the plowing and salting efforts during Winter Storm Kenan which covered the Borough in approximately six inches of snow from Friday night into Saturday morning. We can assure you that the Borough had an appropriate Emergency Preparedness Plan in place.

However, due to the severity of the storm we encountered several obstacles when implementing the plan. Upon receiving multiple calls and emails regarding the road conditions, the Borough Manger, Council President, and Mayor toured the Borough and confirmed your reports. Immediately, the Borough dispatched a third-party contractor to assist with treating and clearing the roads.

Winter Storm Kenan revealed several opportunities for us to improve our Borough’s Emergency Management System. At this time, we have already begun drafting plans to ensure the safety and responsiveness our residents deserve.
