The Sharon Hill Historical Commission
The Sharon Hill Historical Commission
was established by ordinance on August 9, 1990. The powers and duties of the
Commission include recording the history of the Borough, taking inventory of
the historic sites within the borough and making recommendations to the Borough
Council regarding these sites. The Commission may also secure necessary information
to apply for state and/or federal funding.
The Commission consists of five members serving two-year terms. Current members
are Jean Shiber, George Hammond, Jay Pugh, Michael Finnegan and Donna Hunter.
The Commission meets as needed with meetings being held in Borough Hall at
7:00 PM. The public is invited to
attend.
The Commission appreciates what
owners of historic homes and buildings are doing to maintain and preserve the
historic character of their properties in the community. Recipients of these
awards are the following individuals or business.
